I struggle a lot with accepting where I’m hurting or how slowly I’m progressing, especially when I can’t see it. I often wrongly scold myself, thinking “I can’t believe I struggle with this if it’s all in my head” or “I should be better by now”. Unfortunately, it’s easy to discount mental health because it doesn’t seem urgent, but this potatocorn reminds us of two important facts: 1) Healing on the inside is still super important to tend to, much like we put a bandage on a paper cut, and 2) Healing takes time, so it’s okay that it’s still in progress!
